TURMERIC PANCAKES

Turmeric pancakes can be a great breakfast option for pregnant women. Ground turmeric adds a splash of all natural colour to this amazing pancake recipe.This recipe works the best with cut oranges, orange curd and some ginger as garnish. Adding turmeric to your pancakes makes it colourful as well as healthy. Use this recipe to make your mornings bright and right.

Ingredients

self raising flour self raising flour 200 g
ground gingerground ginger 0.25 tsp
honeyhoney 2 tbsp
baking powderbaking powder 1 tbsp
ground turmericground turmeric 0.5 tsp
milkmilk 200 ml
butterbutter 25 g
eggseggs 3 nos

Directions

  1. Take all the ingredients to make the pancakes in a mixing bowl and mix them until the mixture binds well and is lump-free.
  2. Grab a large non-stick frying pan and heat a small knob of butter in it. Wait till the butter melts and starts foaming.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of batter prepared to make the pancake and swirl it round into a circle with the spoon. Cook them for 2-3 mins on each side. Cook for an extra minute for it to turn golden brown and well cooked through out.
  4. Heat the oven to its lowest temperate and transfer the pancakes onto a tray, to keep them warm until other ones are ready.
  5. Plate up all the pancakes and serve them with some fresh cut oranges, orange curd and ginger for enhanced taste.
